Booking and Cancellation Terms
Last updated: 29 October 2026
This page brings together the booking and payment wording published in the Lalapa Safaris price list. Confirm the arrangements and terms for your own safari with Ray before paying a deposit.
Booking enquiries and contact
Ray is Lalapa Safaris’ named representative and primary contact for privacy requests, booking enquiries and complaints. Contact Ray at ray@lalapasafaris.co.za or +27 (0) 83 654 3697.
Send your proposed dates, hunter and observer numbers, species priorities and guide ratio when requesting a quotation. Check the actual hunting days, lodge nights, transfers, inclusions, exclusions and additional costs against the published price list. A website enquiry is not a completed booking.
Published deposit, cancellation and payment wording
The price list sets out the following terms of business:
A deposit of 50% of the daily rate value or 30% of the package amount will secure your safari.
In the event of a client cancelling a safari less than 6 months (180 days) prior to the commencement date of the safari, the deposit will be forfeited if the dates cannot be rescheduled to alternate date/s within the same season.
Safaris postponed/cancelled more than 6 months prior to the commencement date of the hunt will see full deposit value transferable to the following season. Trophy rates will be set at that of the season the hunt takes place in unless daily rates or packages are settled in full to lock in rates for the following season.
Balance of the daily rate or package fees is payable on commencement of your safari. Trophy fees and extra animal on package deals are payable at the end of the safari.
Payment can be made in cash, bank draft or credit card.
Confirming your arrangements
Ask Ray to confirm which season and written terms apply, the total itinerary and nights, payment instructions and the cancellation or rescheduling arrangements before you commit. The wording above records the published price-list information; it does not introduce a new refund timetable, cancellation fee or payment-provider arrangement.
Cancellations, changes and complaints
Contact Ray in writing about a cancellation, date change or booking complaint and keep the related correspondence. Cancellation charges and the treatment of deposits remain subject to applicable law and any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. The published forfeiture wording should not be read as removing those rights.
Payments and personal information
The published wording names cash, bank draft and credit card. Verify the payment method and instructions directly with Ray. Do not send card details through the general enquiry form. The Privacy Policy explains the website’s information handling and privacy-request contact.
